I really love the Calypso Chronicles books because they are very escapist, but in this one I thought the author let her readers down. Firstly, through the book there was too much focus on fencing, and how good Calypso is at it. After a while, if you don't undestand all that much about the sport, it gets really tedious. The second thing was that Calypso's voice had changed from how it was in the preceeding books, in this one it sounds as if Tyne O Connell had read the Georgia Nicholson books by Louise Rennison, as the language in this book reminded me of Georgia Nicholson all the way through. I gave it two star because the plotline was boring, the language was irratating and Calypso's permanent 2 boys to choose from situation makes her very hard to relate with sometimes.
