No sand falling at all, although it gets loose a little bit everytime I'm using them. I have to tighten up every 10 minutes when I use them.

Hi... i hope i understood your question. I bought it for my son and 40 kg are 20 in each hand. So 50 kg will be 25 in each set. As it is in the picture. My son wants now 50kg, so i am trying to find just the spare plates to add and i find they are more expensive loose. If not difference in price will be cheaper perhaps for you to get the 50kg, so you can take a plate out and add when you want. Hope i answered your question, otherwise i will be happy to help again

Hi, we bought the 40kg and is 20k per dumbbell. So i would say is 15kg each. Better buy the 40kg and you can take one off and add when you want. Hope this helps.
