I was given this book as a Christmas present and once started very hard to put down. The author takes the reader though the 50's to the present day in what I can only describe as shear delight, all the famous people he not only photograph but socialised with his parties and his sexual exploits along the way. Mr Warren always in bespoke suits or jackets looks more like in his thirty's then in his mid fifty's a true Chelsea gent... Thanks for a bloody good read!

Allan Warren's account of his life as a society photographer is without comparison. I enjoyed this book enormously and have read it several times. Mr Warren's raconteurship is obviously the result of skill and dedication.Look out for a cornucopia of celebrities, including Lionel Bart, the Duchess of Argyll, and most of all the glamorous Tim Day. Buy it and read it. Most lives are dull by comparison.
