Not good value for money, 28 May 1998
By cdevries@clindata.co.za - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Ducks, Geese & Swans (Zoobooks) (Hardcover)
Ducks, Geese & Swans is at best suited for children in the 3-6 years age group. Nowhere is it mentioned that the whole book consists of only 19 pages. Their is nothing wrong with the quality of the book, but it should be pertinently stated that this book is for children. The price also gives the impression of a more in-depth study of waterfowl. If you want a very basic introduction to waterfowl for your children, this might be it. If not - steer clear of this one. Your money can be spent much better elsewhere.

As [...] said in his review, it would be nice if there has been information stating that this book is meant for kids in an age group where they can read and appreciate the information presented.
This is a high quality book, 20 pages with pullout sections that cover waterfowl identification, life history, and ecosystem challenges.
Zoobooks is the everything-you-wanted-to-know-but-didn't-know-where-to-look children's resource for animals. Each issue delves into topics such as anatomy, habitat, socialization, and reproduction-all on a single animal or animal group-in a vibrant, easy-to-understand way. The series is produced by Wildlife Education, Ltd., a company first established in 1980. Hardcover library editions of the series were first produced in 1983. Zootles magazines and books, for younger readers 2 to 6 years old, were launched in 2005. Then, the animal learning fun was extended to the littlest learners, ages 0 to 2 years old, with the introduction of Zoobies magazines and books in 2008.
