Like dub? Like 2step? then you may not be too startled to find you like this tidily mixed compilation of tunes released on the Tempa label.
The mix hangs together real nice, but without being so smooth that u slip into unconciousness. The tunes throughout are HEAVY, low slung, and nicely dubby. This is a showcase of a particular style, so don't be too suprised if it sounds a little samey at first. After a few listens however, this becomes one of the albums strengths - it takes you too a futuristic dubby place, and does nothing to break that spell, leaving you to sit back and enjoy.
The artists showcased here are of a uniform quality. Proper. The production quality is sweet throughout, but rough enough to demand your full attention at all times. Features cuts from the superb Horsepower Productions, DJ Hatcha himself, Menta (of 'Sounds of the future' fame), and the wickedest name in music today - Benny ill.
So go on, treat yourself, treat the neighbours (it's nice to share).
