The build quality is superb and you know from the feel that you will have years of trouble-free service from this little beauty. It has the quality feel you would expect and it blows inferior brands clean out of the water. It's like the difference between driving a clapped-out Ford Fiesta and taking the wheel in a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.
Supremely easy to use, there are no pop-up gimmicks, no snarled-up pieces of toast sliced too generously to fit in the slot and you cannot begin to put a price on the smug expression you'll adopt when making your breakfast! As for the toast, well fruited teacakes are our weakness and they come out well-browned on the 2 minute setting with the inside light and fluffy, not all dried-out and semi cremated as with this machine's predecessor.
Grit your teeth, pay the money, and enjoy the Rolls Royce of the toaster world! You'll not regret it.
Mmmmm! (Munch munch yum yum)
I just bought one of these 3 slot ones, and although I'm quickly running out of superlatives to heap upon this wondrous machine of crispy toast making morning worship from coast to coast, truly worthy of the Washington Post!
This is a rare case of an appliance that you will pass on to your grandchildren. No more "stripy" cooked bread from lesser glorified bar fires!
Just a pity Dualit don't seem to take the same no-nonsense approach to design in thier other products, many of which have markedly mixed reviews.
Oh yes, and this toaster will, to a reasonable degree serve your toast when YOUR ready, not when it is ready...
