Product Description

The Dualit Vario toaster combines simplicity and sophistication perfectly.

It features extra wide 28mm slots to accommodate a sandwich cage. ProHeat elements increases toasting efficiency and element longevity,

The toaster has a removable crumb tray and an adjustable rear foot.

Manually operated, the Dualit toaster features switches to control the degree of browning. This allows you to enjoy your toast exactly the way you like it. An ejector system means that the toast does not pop up but stays warm until the ejector lever is pushed up.

The Dualit toaster can be set to toast 1, 2 or 4 slices and comes with 2 sandwich cages.

Each of these Dualit toasters is assembled by hand and the assembler's individual mark can be found on the base plate.

Looks good. Not as BIG as you might imagine.

The toast is good, but I have seen slightly better coverage by other toasters.

Slots do accomodate fairly wide bread, but could do with being a little wider (muffins, using std thick sliced bread for toasties) + being able to accomodate very thin bread (can go in-between toaster slot wall and lifter plate).
Manual toast lift-out mechanism is great. Controls are great.

Happy we bought it.

Total convert 23 Dec 2006
By Noodle
After years of fluffing money on design-over-content type toasters which required a sequence of flippings and rotatings to ensure all over brown toast I'm pleased to report that this toaster achieves perfect toast each time at the mearest flick of the timer. I can also report that it makes totally delicious toasted sandwiches. It is a revelation and makes me very happy.

A toaster for life 20 Dec 2006
Not much to go wrong with these toasters, i have just upgraded from a 2 slice to this 4 slice one with sandwich cages. Works a treat! Nicely toasted sandwiches not like brevil sandwich toasters where you have pockets of filling and hard edges. No popup action to jam, and the elements are easily replaceable...though ive not had to change one in 3 years ownership!

dreadful toaster, burns and jams all bread!
A totally rotten toaster! You have to switch all elements on to toast one slice. The end slot with the tong thingy is the only practical way to get any toast. Read more

This is a good product. You need to get used to it at first and get used to it not popping up (which is actually quite good as it keeps the toast warm as you butter each slice) and... Read more

Flawed - but nearly perfect.
Enticed by the solid electro-mechanical 'engineering' in this, I was very annoyed when the mechanical timer failed after 6 months domestic usage. Read more
