The Dualit Vario Toaster combines simplicity and sophistication perfectly. With extra wide 28mm slots to accommodate a Sandwich Cage and the award winning ProHeat elements, a patented design which increases toasting efficiency & element longevity, every toaster has a removable crumb tray and an adjustable rear foot. Manually operated the Dualit toaster features switches to control the degree of browning and an ejector system which means that the toast does not pop up but stays warm until the ejector lever is pushed up.

This looks chic and stylish next to my blue fridge. I saved up to buy this, telling myself that I should support British made products and trying to justify the expense. I also bought the sandwich toaster cage at the same time. After only 7 uses the timer switch stopped working and as this controls the on/off function of the toaster I nearly had a disaster! Luckily I caught it just before the toast caught fire as I thought it was warming it but it was still toasting!! You should NEVER leave this toaster unattended for any time as when the timer breaks there is no cut out and it keeps heating up. Dualit customer service still have not replied to my e mail so I rang them instead and they have sent me a replacement timer under warranty. The instructions state only to be fitted by a qualified electrician and that it needs to be PAT tested after fitted. Thank God my friend is an electrician!! Otherwise I would have worried about fitting it myself. I will now always listen for the reassuring "click click" of the timer and stay close to the toaster. We will see how long this timer lasts!!! Oh! and the sandwich toaster cage is only any good for crumpets buy a toastie machine instead.

Stylish and chic. I love my new toaster! The dualit is very easy to use and it looks good on my sideboard to boot. Would higly recommend.
