My old hand blender (Non Dualit) finally gave up the ghost after many years sterling service. So all I really needed was the replacement hand blender but having got progessively fed up with having to pack and unpack different gadgets in the kitchen I thought I would go for the pack with all the extras - this has proved to be a really good decision.
The motor is really powerful and in some cases a tad too powerful but it really does make light work of so many jobs. The handle is hand shapped - something you would think was obvious but dualit have made this a comfortable size and the soft grip covering is really nice to hold. The gadets allow you to perform nearly every mixing and chopping type task and I find now that the only other food prep gadget I still use is my large food processor for "Bulky" chopping tasks. The gadgets are all well above the spec you need for day to day use so even the most ardent cake baker will find them robust and durable.
Yes it was more than I really wanted to spend but it is worth the money. It has saved me so much time and I enjoy using it everytime I get it out. Being dualit it will last forever.

The basic stick blender element of the product is very solid and convincing (and works well).
I have been less impressed with the attachments, which are a bit lightweight and have a gearing mechanism that is rather noisy. In particular, the 'mixer' attachment is far too fast. Trying to use it for creaming fat into flour results in a rapid redecoration of the surrounding area...

I bought mine a week ago. So far I have used it for making houmus, soups, smoothies and frothy hot chocolate. It has worked a treat in all cases as you would expect with Dualit products. Alot of the components are dishwasher safe and those that are not are very easily cleaned by hand.
It is a compact gadget and fits away easily in a drawer. If you are catering for a family (we are just two) you might want a larger capacity chopper bowl & steel goblet though.
3+ years later and this fab gadget is still used almost daily. I use it mostly for making thai curry paste, BBQ marinades, garlic bread filling for the BBQ (lush) blitzing soups & pasta sauces. I don't go anywhere without it!

Does the job wonderfully
A fabulous neat and tidy appliance that makes a fabulous breakfast shake and chops easily (don't try chopping cheese though :-) )
