Having hammered my previous Dualit coffee grinder to death, we decided to continue using their products. Simply put the grind is extremely good, the conical bur system produces a great finish. Sadly though I have two issues with this unit.
1) The hopper feed is too shallow, so the beans sometimes don't drop into the grinder system and you have to tap or shake it. Not all the time, but enough to be annoying.
2) Static. Dualit have not solved this on-going problem, resulting in the grounds jumping out of the container as you decant it. I'd say, sadly, that it is worse in this particular model.
On that basis I am only awarding 3 stars, which is disappointing considering the £80 price tag.

I bought a Baby Gagio a year ago after my Senseo packed up after 5 great years of service. I wanted a richer fresher cup of coffee. I was very disappointed with the Baby Gagio feeling that the Senseo was better tasting and a lot less hassle. After doing a lot of reviewing, I decided to stop buying espresso ground coffee and get a coffee grinder for fresh coffee beans. I borrowed a friend's blade coffee grinder to experiment. It was not an improvement. After more reviewing a decided to spend the money on this Dualit burr grinder. What a great improvement! We now get a lot of crema with a very rich taste. The coffee is ground to a very fine pulp and that must be the difference because the blade grinder wouldn't get it so fine. If you like good coffee just like Costa or Starbucks or Cafe Nero, you need this type of equipment.

Having invested in a espresso machine, this is the perfect accompaniment. I have to admit, it is slightly bigger than I imagined - I feel we could start our own coffee shop - but it grinders the coffee beautifully. We are now very close to finding the mix of beans perfect for us, that easily beats the coffee shop blends. If you love coffee, it has gone from a luxury item, to a complete necessity!

A great grinder, consistent grind. This does seem to grind fine enough for my Presso espresso machine. Looks very stylish and seems to be quite robust. Love it
