The lite peek and pop 2 slice toaster makes every breakfast a special occasion by combining Dualit's classic design styling with a high gloss finish. The peek and pop function means you can check your bread whilst it is toasting without interrupting the toasting cycle. There is a defrost button for frozen bread and a bagel setting to warm one side and toast the other. If you need to stop the toasting cycle there is a cancel button. The high lift mechanism means you can remove small items easily. The extra wide 36mm slot accomodates larger items.

I have now used this product for four months and have to say it does not function with anywhere near the performance expected of Dualit. The product is a two slot toaster and coast about £70. It looks very nice and is put together well BUT!
Previously I had a four slot Kenwood for which I paid £18.99.
The problem that I thought I would overcome with the Dualit was to achieve a more evenly toasted surface.
The Dualit when it arrives does not have the famous Dualit heater plates, in fact it has heaters of exactly the same configuration as most of the cheap toasters.
It does not brown evenly, the browning appears to be significantly influenced by the thickness of the bread and it is also influenced by whether there are one or two slices in the machine.
I have spoken to Dualit about this and they said something to the effect that 'this is a toaster we import and does not have the usual Dualit toaster heaters'
If anything I have to say that I should have kept the Kenwood and my £70.
This is in my opinion a product of a very poor value product and is merely trading on the quality brand of Dualit.
A great pity which hopefully they will realise and either put the usual heaters in the machine or remove the product from the market.
Would Mercedes put their brand on anything that did not reflect their brand image and consumer expectation?

bought this and used it for less than two months when it exploded. loud bang, huge electrical spark shoots out of it and it dies. might not happen with all of them but thank god my kids weren't using it when it did.

very bad product

Simple to use feels robust and toasts evenly and consistently. Looks good - what more could you ask from a toaster.

Good buy
Good buy for the price, but disappointed with the quality of the purchase. Not as solidly made as I expected.

Nice...
Our first Dualit toaster lasted 15 years and wasn't actually broke when we decided we wanted a new toaster. We just wanted one to match the kitchen. Read more

Looks great for a while, then dies.
Bought it about 14 months ago. Initially pleased, it looked very good and seemed to work well. Slight problem with uneven toasting, but otherwise OK. Read more

Do Not Buy
I bought this toaster 2 years ago and it broke today. Considering how expensive it is, I would expect it to last longer than 2 years. Read more

Good toaster
Really like this toaster, toasts really well. Like the facility to pop your toast up for review. Abit more expensive than some toasters but it is nice.

Good toaster but faulty
This is a nice-looking toaster, and the function that lets you look at the toast while it cooks is really handy. The slots are probably wide enough for most types of bread. Read more

Love it!
This was a house-warming present - I'm not sure I would have spent this much on a toaster ordinarily - but it's a real treat! Read more
