If you need to take any kind of daily medication that causes constipation, like painkillers, you may well need these.
I have taken them for years to offset the constipating effect of prescription painkillers.
The box does say for temporary use, but having tried other items like Fybogel I am happy to stick with these tablets.
Its a lot easier to swallow a couple of small tablets than Fybogel or Psyllium Husks, which also work but I find unpleasant to take.
My GP prescribed Fybogel for me but as it contains Aspertame, a chemical sweetener I changed to these herbal tablets.

Boy, do these work! I have lost count of how many tablets, powders, colon-cleanses etc I have wasted my money on. I am on long term meds that make- er- going 'difficult' (understatement!!)
I only use one at night and although it can make me feel quite queasy, when I need to go- I need to go! If you need something stronger than the average over the counter rubbish- try these. Very good value for money.
To start off with I felt quite unwell with them and thought that they were too strong; but this has settled quite quickly and I can use them comfortably every day now.

My husband thinks that these are the only constipation medication that work for him, as he does need to take something regularly. He also likes the fact that they are herbal

These do not work
These DO NOT work...To call this rubbish a laxative is laughable and to call them extra strong is a con job, just as well they're not expensive..... Read more

Not as good as expected.
Bit disappointed, didn't work as well as I,d expected, couldn't tell any difference between taking them and not. Maybe just don't work for me but can do for others.
