Great book, and enjoyable snacks! 12 Jan. 2001
By Kim Baldwin - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
We've had this book since 1978. My husband made the drying rack, and used a bunch of light bulbs wired in series with a thermostat instead of the "warm air generator". It's been running for over 20 years! It's so simple to use. The book takes you through the process and gives great recipes. We came here to Amazon looking for the book for other members of the family. We're glad to see it's still in print. It's worth every penny.
Like To Eat Fresh Garden Foods All Winter? 13 Feb. 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Well, dried is really not quite "fresh," but dried the way the author details here are very tasty and good! Being "old school" that I am, with my mom's awesome gardening memories still fresh in my thoughts, my desire to learn a bit more about this natural method of preserving nutrients and flavors lead to a bit of research. That's when this book was discovered.

Get it!

My Winter "harvest" is Summer's dried foods. I even preserve delicious meats and combine with the tasty vegetables for some of the kinds of taste treats stores will never even dream of having. Restaurant chef, move over!:-))

If you can find this, get it.
