As enjoyable as the TV show but .... unfortunately without Rachael Riley doing the letters/numbers! Board, cards and countdown clock are not very robust but value for money and value of enjoyment gained is ample compensation.

I bought two of these off Amazon and the first thing that you notice is the boxes are opened and bumped, but with 40% off RRP and free delivery I'll put up with that.
The game itself hasn't been thought out well enough.
The letters game is good. Just what you'd expect. The clock, the famous 30 seconds clock, is slightly fiddly and actually needs winding up all the time. If the clock wasn't such a notable feature of the show I'd say dump the clock and get a sandtimer.
The numbers game just doesn't do the show, or this game, justice. There are no preset numbers, ie something like 774 or whatever. You have to create these yourself. It's just not Countdown.
So overall I'd be cautious buying this one. If, like me, the letters game is your favourite bit then it's OK, but don't pay full price. If you're a numbers fan then don't buy at all.

I bought this as a present for my partner as we are both word fanatics who enjoy watching Countdown and often play Scrabble together, so I thought this would be fun. It is not. It is fiddly, time-consuming and boring for what is and should be a fun game. The countdown clock is a very simple wind up clock (similar to that on Screwball Scramble for anyone that knows it) & it doesn't play the countdown music which I would have happily invested in 2 AA batteries for if I had the option! We spent alot of time setting up the word games and the numbers game was just a joke, it doesn't have a number generator, you have to write down a 3 digit number at the beginning of the game. Each game is 15 games long, but we gave up after 3 rounds. This is really, and unfortunately, a complete waste of money, I won't even be donating it to charity it's that bad. Very disappointed.
