Bought this game to use at my 5 year old daughter's birthday party. The packaging says that you could hold relay races to see which team could blow their pumpaloon up fastest, so it sounded a fun and original game. Decided to get my seven year old son to try it out first, in case it proved too difficult for the younger ones to do. He was quite excited as he'd seen them advertised on the tv and we had high hopes. But, quite disappointing. He was able to inflate it in less than a minute of not particularly strenuous pumping! So, pretty useless as a relay race tool.

Also disappointing was the size - quite weedy compared to how they're portrayed on the packaging - not as chunky or as tall as he and I expected. The picture on the advert and packaging is deceptive, makes them look as though they're about 4 1/2 feet tall but read the small print, they're three feet maximum.

On a positive, the product seemed pretty durable, well made and attractive colours. But, although deflating is initially easy, it's impossible to deflate them entirely as the instructions describe, so the next time we play with it it'll take and even shorter time to inflate them.

Great idea, but they need to be taller and fatter and I would say that, for any child over the age of 6, it'll be a one play wonder. Think that in our household they may end up getting used for football target practice instead!

My son aged 5 see this advertised on TV via adverts & this morning & really wanted it, well Christmas Day when he opened it he played it once over very quickly, now he inflates them and uses them as pubch bags like the old fashion weeble wobblies.

So i would say that it may be more entertaining to 3 year olds.

Deflates really easy so can go back in the box nice & tidy!

As usual the service, the price and the delivery from Amazon was spot on. As for the product, my Granddaughter loved it. What could be more fun then seeing who is faster to pump up a balloon, and then letting the air out again. It's big enough that the parts don't get lost, and there is very little noise (that's the part I like).

I wanted a toy which could be fun to play with a 10 year old and 2 year old siblings. Not easy to find, but pumpaloons is perfect. They can both use the pumps at their own pace, it is a lot of fun.

This is one of those used once games, smaller than appears on the box and really not worth the money. Give this one a miss.

luckily got this at half price as one of the pumpaloons split within a few days my 4 year liked it but ike all games they have a short life span, would not buy this at full asking price but for £7.50 was ok for a few games and now it only comes out once in a blue moon. Also the pumpaloons once inflated are not very big so advert and packaging very deceiving.

Not standing up straight and one of them popped already. The side has split therefore ended up in the bin

Well, I have to admit that, when my 4 year old pestered me for months before Christmas that she wanted Pumpaloons, I had visions of her and her sister blowing them up and then saying "Now what?". So, I bought them with the appropriate expectations on my side that I would probably feel that they were a waste of money.

I was very pleased to be provded wrong however. Ok, so all kids are different and mine are blessed with active (sometimes 'over active') imaginations. However, they had a great time pumping them up and then putting them back down again (ok, this was more our job than theirs). They had a great time all through Christmas playing with them and, while the novelty has now worn off, I can say that my daughter who nagged me for them and her older sister played a damn site more with them than I had anticipated! They now have names and are standing inflated in the girls' bedroom and are used for everything from a clothes hook to additional members ofa game the girls might be playing. All in all, not a total waste of money. Just waiting for an evening when we have some friends over with a couple of bottles of wine to see whether us adults can get any drunken games out of them!
