First of all I used to listen to drum & bass in the early to mid 90's and used to love it back then. This is my very first double CD's of modern D&B i've ever bought and what a CD's they are too! The first thing I noticed is how grown up D&B has become over the last 15 years or so. Both CD's are very good the first one is quite fast and a lot more upbeat compared to CD 2. The mixing on CD 1 is, well from what I can hear perfect! All the tunes on both CD's are new to 3 years old which I still class as new! CD 2 is my favorite one as it has a bit more beefy beats and not quite as mad as disc 1. Overal though this 2x CD pack is really good if not excellent and in my honest opinion well worth the asking price. Great to listen to in a car as well as the bass is very powerful! Great to listen to in the house or a house part for the summer! The only downside is that there is no indication to who the DJ or DJ's were who mixed these 2 fine CD's? I looked everywhere to try and find out but I can't find any info on this. It is possible but I hope not that these CD's were mixed by a computer. All the other CD's in this series were mixed by DJ's such as Andy C, Randall, Shy FX, and the first one was mixed by Goldie. Overall if you like D&B or you just want to hear what today's D&B sounds like you won't go wrong in buying this. Great stuff. P.S. If your not sure what to expect you can always listen to parts of these CD's on Youtube.
