I'm not usually a big fan of 'how-to' books on Druidry, in spite of having written a few myself. Often, their authors don't know what they're talking about or pretend to have access to some non-existent 'hidden' source material. I'm not usually a huge fan of Llewellyn Books either. A lot of their publications are, frankly, pretty tacky. However, this one is an exception, and by quite a long way. It has the advantage that the authors clearly know the historical and literary material on which modern Druidry is based very well indeed. Frequent quotes from medieval Irish and Welsh prose and poetry are well-chosen and relevant. It has the even greater advantage that the authors have actually worked with this material. When they recommend an exercise, meditation or ritual, you can be sure they're writing from direct practical experience spanning a number of years. When they talk about encounters with spirit animals, Faery Folk or deities, you sense that they are speaking from personal experience. References to sacred sites show genuine first-hand knowledge of them. All this is more rare than you might think and, therefore, all the more to be treasured when found. The end result is a big, impressive, carefully-crafted book full of sound advice, good and genuinely useful things to do, meaningful philosophy and real potential for inspiration, learning and spiritual growth.

Druid Magic: The Practice of Celtic Wisdom
Pertaining to neo-druidism, was so informative, giving a detailed and informative account. The format was of high standard and the language flowed easily. I liked the way it also referred to the personal experiences in this ancient wisdom. I would have appreciated a chapter on the ancient rites of Druidism which would have completed this excellent book. As for the neo-druidism, the explanations of the rites and the tools of magick were excellent.
Recommended.
