Product Description

Are you one of the millions of women who want to shed a few pounds? Are you confused by the never-ending avalanche of books, magazines, websites and TV programmes to allegedly ‘help’? There are hundres of so-called experts out there, all touting the latest trend. But who’s got the time to wade through all of this information to sift the stuff that works from the rubbish? Drop a dress size, the newest book in the 52 Brilliant Little Ideas series, cuts straight to the heart of the matter. By using the tips in Drop a dress size you can change your mindset and lifestyle, ultimately giving you the body you really want.

About the Author

Eve Cameron is the former editor of Zest and She magazine. Her special interest has always been health, fitness and beauty. And chocolate. On her 35th birthday she woke up to find she had a spare tyre where her flat stomach used to be, and she devised her own methods for shifting it. This book is personal! Kate Cook is a Nutritional Therapist and Director of The Nutrition Coach. She got into nutrition when she booked a colonic irrigation session by mistake. Too embarrassed to admit she was in the wrong appointment, Kate had no choice but to listen with bated breath to the nutrition advice given as an optional extra. It happened to be excellent and quite an eye-opener for Kate. As a result of this chance meeting, Kate went on to train at Britain's foremost college, The Institute For Optimum Nutrition, founded by Patrick Holford. Knowing how to make nutrition and lifestyle changes practical is one of Kate's particular strengths. She is also an accredited Life Coach.

Same old boring stuff, with typos 10 Dec 2011
By Kathleen Richardson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Thank goodness I didn't have to pay for this one. I guess it's okay for someone who just arrived here on this planet and doesn't have a clue on how to lose weight.

The first page has a typo in it: "If you're loking (sic) for a diet book..." Ugh! It's such a turnoff!

Good Basic Diet and Lifestyle Advice 4 Dec 2011
By Iola - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Drop a Dress Size covers a host diet tips in 52 short, easily digestable chapters, and the advice appears sound (although I am no dietician). None of the information is new, and the focus is on long-term lifestyle changes rather than a short-term quick fix solution, as that is the basis of yo-yo dieting. Each chapter also has a 'defining idea' at the end, and many also have amusing quotations relevant to the topic. What this book does not have is detailed daily eating plans or recipes - but that is fine for me. I invariably loathe most `diet food'. However, if you are looking for a detailed 'eat this' plan, then you won't find it here.

This is an English book, so some of the references might need decoding for an American audience. For example, your GP is your doctor, and a courgette is a zucchini (have I spelt that right?).

This book and Lose Weight and Stay Slim (52 Brilliant Ideas) were both offered free on Kindle, so I got both. I read this one first, then skipped to the other - only to find that they have the same author (Eve Cameron) and much of the content is identical, except that the 52 Brilliant Ideas in each book have slightly different names and are in a different order. By all means get one, but don't pay for both.

Nothing you don't already know 21 Jan 2012

I thought everything in the book was taken from something else. There was very little helpful information in this book.
