5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic game 24 Dec 2011
Platform for Display:Xbox 360
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I'm 21, and remember playing the original Driver game on the Playstation.
I don't play many racing games, but managed to pick this up for £10.
After playing it for a few hours, I can say I'm impressed.
The graphics are brilliant.
It's got an involved story and is keeping me interested.
The concept of floating out of your characters body and into that of another is very original, and adds a lot to the game.
Most of all though, it's great fun.
It offers a good variety of different games, from performing stunts to races, to car chases.

It plays like a film too.
You never leave your car, which could have made the game boring.
However, it works perfectly.
The plot involves following the work of a criminal.
You play as a 'cool-guy' detective.
The game doesn't take itself seriously either.
You can smash into a vehicle and carry on driving.
The voice acting and dialogue works very well, as well as the music.
There is some excellent humour through the game.

For the price I paid, I feel like I've robbed someone.
5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars I like it! 13 Nov 2011

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I received the game today and started playing with high hopes. I'm not disappointed! I like the story, the graphics and the cars. It'S great to fly over San Francisco and shift in any car you like at any time. It's so much fun. I'm certainly not going to get bored with the game very soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Its fun and not to be taken seriously! 5 Sep 2011

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
BOTTOM LINE
Much like a 80s cop car show, I like driver SF, its very much a pick up n play game, and you dont have to think to hard to play, but its not trying to be anything else. Visuals are pretty good, remind me somewhat of the retro crazytaxi game. Cars look impressive as is their handling, and individual handling characteristics of the models. The story i found confusing but just went along with it. Could get a bit repetitive though, as the missions dont vary much.

PROS
-Cars handle and sound great not sim like, but fun arcadey chuck about handling
-Visuals and sounds are impressive each car sounds authentic and the city is vast and detailed
-Cop chases and getaways are so much fun and challenging.
-Lots to do in missions side quests etc
-Shift mechanic handy for not doing the long drive to each mission, also can be cleverly used in missions.
-Lots of cars and manufacturers

CONS
-Story is confusing
-Missions could get boring very quickly
-Stuck in car all the time!!!....Shame you cant walk and get out of car and take part in gunfights etc

4.0 out of 5 stars silly premise, great fun
Reminds me very much of the original Driver, a great return to form. Don't think too much of the plot, it's a little soft. Just play & enjoy!
