I have two cats who I have never been able to get to drink from a bowl. Consequently, as I can't leave a tap running all day, they have been on a wet food diet. One recently developed a food sensitivity and my vet suggested I move them onto a dry food diet, and recommended I try a drinking fountain to encourage them to drink water. I tried the Cat it pet drinking fountain, but it was a total failure. I searched around a bit more and found the Drinkwell 360. The photos looked very promising, with the waterfall looking much more like a tap, and though it is one of the more expensive, I knew within moments of setting it up that it was money well spent.
The base is rather large, but not too big, it is very quiet, and the range of spouts and controllable flow rate are fantastic. Both of my cats enjoy drinking from it, and I can have peace of mind that they are properly hydrated.
