Most people who buy this book will probably be aware of the author and his contribution to mixology.

The book is filled with insight into what drives his creative style, and packed with great recipes for some of his cocktails. Each drink is accompanied by a beautiful photograph, which I wasn't expecting. Most cocktail books simply contain endless spec lists!

At the end of the book there is also advice and recipes aimed at those with a laboratory at their disposal, and not really for the casual cocktail enthusiast - but that makes it interesting!

Highly recommended.

I had originally pre-ordered this book, knowing how excited I was to read it. Unfortunately the pre-order didn't work as planned, and as such I re-ordered it just a few weeks ago. It arrived yesterday, and I found within just a few pages I was immensely compelled to finish it. I'd argue that Tony is one of the brightest minds in the cocktail world, and his approach / philosophy towards not only drinks, but flavour is very adequately captured and expressed in this book. Keep in mind, many of the recipes contained in this book will take TIME, and in quite a few cases, some form of specialized equipment - but then again, this book is almost more about Tony's approach to drinks rather than the drinks themselves. I will absolutely be revisiting this book throughout future endeavors, and will be suggesting it to all my bartending friends.

Hope this is only the first addition of a big compilation of Tony C's work. Even if you don't have the resources that Tony does, there are still a lot of things you can do at home and a lot of info that is useful in general.
