When I saw a new Donna Leon title out on 4th October I assumed this was a new book. How wrong! This is a reissue of 'The Anonymous Venetian', first published in 1994. Are publishers doing so badly they have to stoop to tricks like this to make sales? Amazon you could let readers know this is just a new title not a new book.

If you've read 'The Anonymous Venetian' don't bother with this. If you haven't, the story is good no matter what the title.

I was annoyed to find I'd been conned out of my money. I'd been looking forward to receiving a new Leon novel. THIS IS NOT A NEW NOVEL. If you've got a collection of Brunetti mysteries, you'll already have this one, under its old title

I found both these reviews helpful. You need to take care when buying Leon's books especially in paperback. Two years ago I bid for one on e-bay from Australia only to find I had already read it in UK under another title. The reason is they have changed publishers and the new lot have given them new names in UK.
