I hope you have read the many fantastic reviews about this album, because they are all true; the original album is a true masterpiece, a wonderfully imaginative explosion of wild music, but...

I know this is not what you want to read, but honesty is the best policy; The Dresden Dolls released their debut album last year - and it was brilliant. I reviewed it and gave it 5 stars, because it was, in so many ways, unique. But this... this offence to the freethinking music listener should be banned, along with music censorship generally. All expletives and intensifiers have been removed and replaced either by gaps, overdubbed "sounds" or what sounds like Amanda Palmer suffering a sudden attack of bronchitis. THIS IS A WARNING: This, the "CLEAN" album, is not an album worth listening to and, to add insult to irony, it has been produced by a self publicising and so-called democratic society that condones the IRA, fosters white supremacist organisations, religious fanaticism, promotes the right to bear arms (even when the same arms are used by children to kill their classroom peers), intimidates the Middle East, bullies smaller countries into submission or financial ruin, yet finds it wholly unacceptable to include the word F*CK in a song.
