Dremel Multi Vice: The 3-in-1 Vice
Dremel presents a unique addition to an already wide range of attachments. The multi vice is a stationary vice, a standalone clamp and a tool holder. With these three uses, you have complete control over the material you are working on. This attachment gives you the option of either taking your Dremel tool to the work or taking your work to the stationary tool.
Complete Freedom of Movement
The Dremel multi vice rotates 360 degrees and tilts 50 degrees, allowing total flexibility when working with your material. This is easily adjusted by the ball joint, which gives a smooth rotation for a comfortable angle to suit you. The especially hardened slide bar resists twisting and bowing for solid stability.
Work with All Shapes and Sizes
The grooved notches on the two jaws allows round and odd-shaped objects to be held in place (such as metal pipe). The large cushioned jaws stabilise oversize objects and protect delicate pieces from damage. With a 19 cm jaw depth, the multi vice can easily accommodate larger work pieces. This is a very portable vice which can clamp to any workbench, table or countertop up to 6.3 cm thick.
Bring Work to Your Dremel
By removing the slide bar and adding the Dremel multitool adapter, your multi vice turns into a stationary tool holder that is ideal for sanding, grinding and polishing. The Dremel tool is held in a fixed position, allowing you to run the material over the accessory with two hands. This makes it possible to easily sand rounded shapes, and you can work for longer as there is no weight from holding the tool.

Bought a Dremel Rotary tool end of last year, (had gone through two from different makers), it is so good I decided to buy this vice, and what a good buy, will be a long time, or ever before I will need to buy another of either, not the cheapest, but certainly the best, would recommend both these products to any hobbiest, I use mine in building model boats.

I required something compact, lightweight but above all, equally tough enough to with stand constant use.
This is a well made and well though out piece of design. It is very useful, if like me, you don't have a workshop with enough space to have a perminant vice.
It is also useful to have something that can be taken with you to different jobs at work or around your house.
For me personally, this is used for soldering and small repairs. For these purposes, it acts as that third arm that I wasn't born with.

For a vice it is extremely flexible, the ball socket allows you to work from any angles, it's clamp depth is also very deep compared to many other vices out there, which is useful if you have thick tables (like me). However, it is limited to delicate works only, most of the product is plastic and the jaw itself is rubber, so this tool is strictly for using the Dremel (even a 4m brass tube + junior hack saw was proving to be somewhat awkward if not difficult), if you wish to bend thick piano wires or even use the vice to crush things into shape, it is not the job for this product, due to the way the grip designed, you can't clamp things very hard, and the soft jaws are not designed to take much force anyway. So for what it is it's very useful and versatile, but don't expect this to perform what normal vices can when it comes to grip and strength.

usefull hobby tool
