Product Description

Product Description

Dremel Workstation--Perfect solution for Stationary Working

The Dremel workstation is a stable and quality drill press which doubles up as a tool holder. This is another useful offering in the diverse range of Dremel attachments. This attachment has plenty of handy features which enable the Dremel tool to drill holes with ease.

Two Functions in One

To start working with the Dremel workstation, the nose cap on the Dremel tool must firstly be removed. The tool then slots into the holder and is tightened by a screw-type mechanism. This rotary tool work station holds Dremel rotary tool models 4000, 3000, 400, 398, 395, 300, 285, 275, 200, 100, 8200, 800, 780, 770, and 7700 (tool not included).

Once the tool has been secured, the drill press allows you to drill vertically or in any angle, adjustable in increments of 15 degrees. This will assist you in making perfect holes in all sorts of materials.

The Dremel tool can also be held horizontally, transforming the workstation into a tool holder. This is ideal for sanding, grinding and polishing. The Dremel tool is held in a fixed position allowing you to run the material over the accessory with two hands. This makes it possible to easily sand rounded shapes preventing slippage by keeping tools at 90 degrees and you can work for longer as there is no weight from holding the tool.

Easy Set-up and Durable, User-Friendly Design

Easy to set up and operate, the workstation features straightforward, durable construction. The inch and metric markings on the base allow for precise measurements and ensure that your adjustments are consistent. Compatible rotary tools attach and detach smoothly so you can polish, grind, or drill holes in stone, metal, or glass for rivets, eyelets, or cold connections of any sort.

On-board Storage and Cord Management

The Dremel workstation features a platform in which several Dremel accessories and a wrench can be stowed. This gives quick access to those accessories that you use most regularly with this attachment. When using a corded Dremel tool, the cord can be clipped to the side of the workstation, preventing it from interfering with your work. The workstation can also be used in a similar way to the Dremel Tool Holder attachment by using the hook at the top of the pole. The Dremel tool can then be hung and used with the Flex Shaft attachment for doing more detailed work.

I bought this for use with a Dremel Multi Tool 300-30. I use it primarily but not exclusively for 4mm scale railway modelling, as an accurate support for the Multi Tool in drilling, cutting, grinding and polishing thin metal sheet (nickel silver and brass).

It forms an ideal support and has the flexibility to hold the machine at any angle from vertical to horizontal with 15 degree stops.

It really requires the use of the small vice clamped to the table to get maximum use as an accurate drill. Dremel make one but there are others that are much cheaper and to my mind likely to be as effective but I have not used the Dremel version.

Some key parts are in plastic and I feel that accuracy and stability would have been gained if they were replaced by metal components, but that is probably not essential for anything this side of watchmaker's accuracy.
There are some features not present but they really only exist on far more expensive devices. For my needs it fits the bill.

Excellent piece of necessary equipment for the mini workshop. Has made my work so much more precise and enabled me to work on more complex items.

I make beach jewellery and needed a steady, precision platform to drill holes in small pebbles. The Dremel Workstation is ideal for the job. It arrived next day as promised and I had no trouble in assembling it.

To have the ability to rotate the Dremel drill to an angle so I can polish away any slight blemises on the findings, is an absolute bargain. I broke a 1mm drill bit in the pebble I was working on and wasn't able to get it out of the hole I was drilling. I just rotated the angle to 90° and changed the broken bit to a grinding tool and was able to use both hands to hold the pebble and carefully grind away the broken drill bit level without damaging the polished surface of the pebble. Something I would have not been able to do freehand.

All in all, the Dremel Workstation is a great piece of kit, ideal for what I want it for, and it's something I would not do without now.

I can't understand the negative reviews that some have chosen to post about this product. It was easy to assemble without the instructions.
The build quality was adequate for the price, what some others expect for £32 I can't imagine, the important bits are accurately made and the level of engineering used to make the rest to a price is very cleaver.
In operation I found the stand both smooth and accurate if you adhere to proper engineering principals, i.e. centre punching and pilot hole drilling were required.
I'm primarily going to use the stand with my drill to produce printed circuits and for that job it is an excellent choice.
Maybe those who are knocking this bit of kit need to look at the cost of professional pillar drill stands, and I would seriously question the I.Q. and skills of those who found this stand difficult to put together or use.
    5 stars easyly.

Before buying, I read reviews and thought assembly was going to be hard... I can say that assembling the workstation was easy and the workstation is an added bonus to the dremel drill. Check out the multi buy if you havent already got the drill, as I think you can buy a complete package of drill and workstation. Again the item came super fast from Amazon....again 10 out 10 to Amazon, its a great place to shop online.

I'm really not in the habit of spending my time writing reviews - unless there REALLY is something that needs addressing. In this particular case it's the negative comments made by some of the reviewers targeted at this product. I read them all prior to buying this item and decided that it was a calculated risk based on the positive/negative balance of comments, and I went at it with my fingers crossed.

As it turned out there was no need for finger crossing and I honestly can't see what all the fuss is about.

It took me no time at all to assemble it and the instructions are quite frankly not really needed. Yes, the upright needs a wee bit of packing to keep it from moving slightly and perhaps Dremel need to address this, but honestly chaps, can you not figure this out for yourselves? If this is too difficult for you then perhaps you should take up stamp collecting instead! As for the Spanish bloke, (Tra Tra), who for some bizarre reason felt the need to fill a review page with his own modified instructions . . . . . . Signore, you've got way too much time on your hands!

I make small wooden toys and this has proved to be an excellent addition to my "away from the workshop" tool kit. It does the job for the hobbyist perfectly - and as precisely as I could have wished for.

This IS for the hobbyist remember! If you want something industrial strength go and buy something else more expensive. If you are a hobbyist and you want a decent bit of kit, I for one am happy to recommend this one.

This is brilliant for small precise projects, i make and sell custom leather work items, mainly sheaths, this has made that process so much easier and more professional and consistent.
I do agree with the comments about the assembly instructions being rubbish though, i have a put a link to a youtube video which is great and shows how easy it is to put together, hopefully its useful, its a great little video, Thanks to the uploader
