Dreamweaver CS3 in easy steps looks at the working environment of the program and the various tools and panels that are available. It then shows how to add and format content in both HTML and CSS, which is now an accepted standard in best practice web design. This includes adding text and images, creating hyperlinks, using editable library items and templates and also creating forms.
The exciting new features of Dreamweaver CS3 are looked at including new Javascript libraries (known as the Spry framework for Ajax) for adding dynamic features (such as collapsible menus) without the need for complicated coding, improved integration with Photoshop and a range of CSS features for adding and checking code, both in Dreamweaver and for a variety of different browsers. The book also looks at producing websites for mobile devices with the new Device Central function.
Overall the book shows all Web designers how to turn their Web dreams into dynamic and media-rich online reality - with Dreamweaver CS3 in easy steps, the sky's the limit.
This successful series is designed to save you time and guaranteed to give you value for money. Written in a jargon-free, easy-to-follow style with helpful graphics, the In Easy Steps books explain everything you need to know to get working on your computer - and more!
Each chapter takes you step-by-step through the functions and uses of a program. Every page is packed with visual guides so that what you see on your screen is exactly the same in the book - you simply can't go wrong!

The cover says this is written in 'Plain English'...............NOT ALWAYS.
Is 'Easy To Follow'...................I'm fairly computor literate having worked on and with them since the early 60's and I didn't always find it EASY. It's 'Fully Illustrated' ..................I tend to agree! I would have expected some step by step tutorials but there don't seem to be any. I haven't finished the book yet but haven't come across any so far. I have found tutorials on the web (for free) at [...]. Could have saved myself the cost of the book.
