i had to purchase this book for a web design course that i'm taking, and it is extremely useful. prior to this, i have purchased past versions of visual quick start guides for older versions of various adobe products and i have always been impressed. this is a wonderful guide for newbies who have never used dreamweaver before!

I bought this, and "Sams Teach Yourself Dreamweaver in 24 Hours" at the same time, and I think the Sams is a much better product. It has a better layout, more information and easier to learn.
Excellent book, for a great product 22 Feb 2012

Dreamweaver is the industry standard for web design and this book is a comprehensive and well-written guide to using it.

The authors have covered all those things you need - creating and managing the sites, CSS, templates, navigation etc and have done so without it being a boring read.

I keep this on my shelf. Highly recommend Visual Quickstart books and Negrino & Smith as technical authors.
