The DVD has the following 12 basic tutorials:
- An overview
- The Workspace
- Creating a homepage
- Images
- Adding images
- Formatting Text
- Creating hyperlinks
- Laying out your page

- Creating a simple rollover
- Testing your webpages
Each tutorial is about seven minutes long. They are easy-to-follow as everything is demonstrated on screen, with clear instructions from Susannah Hall. You don't have to watch the tutorials in order: the interface allows you to pick and choose which ones you need. Be warned, however, that the interface does not launch automatically and you need to click on a .exe file to open it.
I wanted to like this training DVD but there's no getting away from the fact that for something so expensive (its recommended retail price is almost £50), it offers very little. Look hard enough and you'll find similar tutorials online - and for free.
If all you need is to create a basic, static webpage, then this DVD might be sufficient but those who who would like to learn about CSS and other more advanced features of Dreamweaver will be better off investing in any of the numerous Dreamweaver how-to books available that are not only cheaper but more comprehensive as well.

Although the presenters have a good presentational style, overall I was disappointed with this purchase.
It is VERY expensive for the very limited amount of content contained on the disk, especially when you compare it to the other training DVDs available from different companies, which seem to have like five or more times as much content.
I found the presenters voice to be very annoying and I didn't like how it only covered the basics of Dreamweaver, it stopped leaving me wanting to know more than just how to do only the most basic of activities.

As with their Flash training, on my Windows 7 machine the launcher doesn't actually start the movies.
Running the movies directly, the spoken style is clear, and most of the basics are covered (at least as much as they can be in just over an hour of training videos).
There are a couple of errors, such as the discussion of Fonts claiming that if you pick a font that the user doesn't have it'll show Times New Roman, rather than falling back to other fonts in the list first. They also claim that keywords are important to search engine results, when this hasn't been relevant for years.
That combined with the fact that it really does cover only the absolute basics (no Flash embedding, no fluid layout tips, very crude coverage of HTML, etc) means that it would only be suitable for someone who knows nothing at all about HTML page creation, but for anyone with any real-world knowledge of HTML or Dreamweaver, this is basically only going to tell you what you already know or should be able to work out quickly enough. Buy a book on Dreamweaver instead - it'll be cheaper and will cover a lot more ground.
