Book Description

"Romantic comedy doesn't get any funnier than this"

"An absolutely hilarious sequel"

"A must read summer gem. The dialogue is hysterical"

"Shades of Some Like It Hot and Tootsie - this is a Wilde summer not to be missed"

The comedy adventures of Jack, Harry and Gladys Wilde continue in this eagerly awaited sequel to I'm Dreaming of a Wilde Christmas.

Jack and Gladys are having a rocky ride with their relationship and things only get worse when Gladys announces that she is going on holiday with her best friend Wendy.

With Jack downtrodden, his best friend Harry decides that they too should have a holiday and so books a trip to Acapulco.

The vacation begins badly for Jack: He clumsily spills red wine over himself, only to find that he has picked up the wrong suitcase at the airport and the case contains nothing but women's clothing and a blonde wig.

Harry stubbornly refuses to lend Jack any clothes, and with no shops open, he manages to talk Jack into dressing up as a woman in order for them to go out to eat.

But things are about to get worse when, at the restaurant, they bump into Gladys and Wendy. Jack quickly hides his face behind a handheld fan and Harry introduces him as his girlfriend Jacqueline.

The following morning, Harry convinces Jack that he should remain a woman for the rest of the vacation so that they can keep an eye out on Gladys. They go out shopping for the very best makeovers and designer clothes - but they are foolishly using cash found bundled in the 'new' suitcase, unaware that it is laundered drug money.

Soon Jack is transformed into the glamorous Jacqueline and so, with Gladys believing she has found a new friend in Jacqueline (and a drug dealer anxious to retrieve the suitcase), Jack, Harry and Gladys begin a holiday adventure they will never forget.

Product Description

'I can't remember laughing so hard with a book before and I made the big mistake of reading it on the train and didn't know where to hide my face - such was the hilarity. Jack and Harry are just a wonderful double-act - the dialog between them is fast, clever, and absolutely hilarious. Absurd as it may sound, the scenario of Jack becoming 'Jacqueline' for twelve days so that he could keep a watchful eye out on his girlfriend Gladys, was very believable, and I loved the unexpected bond that grew between them. Rhona T Pinkleton has written a comedy masterpiece. If you enjoyed I'm Dreaming of a Wilde Christmas, or even just enjoy a good laugh, then you will love this book.' --Julia Dawson - Goodreads

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious! 28 Dec. 2013
By Kim
Format:Kindle Edition
I read the first book in the series (I'm Dreaming of a Wilde Christmas) and thought it was a great read, but this book is just too funny for words - I laughed until I ached. I will definitely be reading this again at some point. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great follow up 3 Feb. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This was a wonderful follow on from the first book. Great to see these characters in a different setting, and see the humour of the first book displayed in full force! As with the first book I continued to (for want of a better phrase) laugh out loud! I can't wait to see what comical adventures the third book in this series holds...

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!! 12 Jan. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is the second book that I've read from this author and I wasn't disappointed. I love the madcap antics of the characters and would definitely recommend this read as a ' pick me up' in these long winter months. I hope that there will be yet another book to continue the story.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disapointing 11 Mar. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Honestly I didn't like it... I didn't hate it, but I didn't laugh out loud as I hoped...
To be fair I didn't finish the book and it might have got better. It is about 2 'old' men who are late 60's and mid 70's, so in 2015 really NOT considered 'old' at all... the dialogue between them might be funny in a film, but for me just doesn't work in a book. Very flat...
Summed up in one word - disappointing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ludicrously Funny!! 5 Aug. 2014
By Helen
Format:Kindle Edition
Not the normal romantic comedy I'm used to reading, this is much more of a madcap and slapstick adventure. I was chortling quite early on, but soon found myself doubled-over with laughter with tears rolling down my cheeks!

Take it to read by the poolside on holiday - it's mindless fun that will keep you entertained. Harry & Jack are just the best!

I will definitely buy other books by the author.

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
One of the funniest books I have read, anyone who feels down in the dumps should read this. You really will laugh out loud, I was travelling on the tube reading this and kept laughing out loud, I did get some funny looks but that didnt worry me at all because the book does really give you a good feeling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!! 20 Jun. 2014
By Alex

Slapstick and OTT, but had me crying with laughter. Jack and Harry are completely bonkers, but very likeable - a great comedy duo. I really enjoyed this holiday epic and I'm now off to buy their Christmas adventure!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious and whacky!! 31 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Jack and Harry are just wonderfully whacky in this second instalment. Their manic holiday romp has humour the likes of Spike Milligan would be proud of - it is hysterical! I needed cheering up and boy did this do it. I hope there's another book in the series soon (please!).
