Tamyra Shines On Debut!,

Tamyra's album is a standout, vocal wise she excels on the ballads "Raindrops Will Fall" and "God Bless the Dreamer" (which is a personal favourite of mine), "Like a Child" is a really emotional song, and lyrically this is the standout song for me. The sophisticated "Yesterday/Today" and "17" show off her ability to mix it up, "Don't Stop (Keep It Coming)" is the "fun" song of the album - she sounds stunning on it but its all about getting up and taking control of that dance floor and forgetting all your troubles. Tamyra wrote 2 of the songs "Legend" and "U've Only Got 1" herself, and co-wrote 10 other tracks on the album, it's only "God Bless the Dreamer" where she has no credit for the lyrics, pretty impressive for an artist's debut if you ask me. She has the voice to rival the best of them, and her writing ability is inspiring. "The Dreamer" is a stunning debut album that showcases her talents in all areas - I look forward to the follow-up, even if she doesn't have instant success I have a feeling she'll be around for a long time yet.

I bought this album after hearing Tamyra on the first American Idol, and hearing her sing as a guest on the third. I must say that this album is absolutely brilliant, the makings of a young Deborah Cox. I would definately advise anyone to buy this album.

Brilliant!After watching the last series of American Idol, I knew I had to buy this album. Tamyra gave great live performances of Raindrops will fall and Star, both of which were excellent. The album is a spectacular first album and shows both maturity and a quality very rare in an artists' first release. Trust me - Tamyra will be big!!!
