Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Rose Petal Cottage is part of the Dream Town Collection, a unique playhouse and role play series. Rose Petal Cottage is a place where children can play, imagine and discover new things. It's a lightweight cottage that's made just for children that's small enough to be cozy and big enough for a world of make-believe.

When not in use, the two cottage halves store neatly inside each other and the accessories can be easily stacked inside. All of the material and finishes are of the highest quality, from the beautiful fabric walls to the lace trim. Rose Petal Cottage also comes with a cooker unit included, which is easy to assemble and store. The cooker is made from strong water-resistant MDF which is very robust and has knobs that turn and a door that opens, to make role play even more fun.

Best of all, Rose Petal Cottage can be furnished with a wide selection of the prettiest household accessories from the Dream Town Collection, including the kitchen set with washing machine, lounge chairs and table set, tea and cakes set, cleaning set and nursery and cot set. The Dream Town Collection helps children create the house of their dreams.

My 6 year old daughter was given this as a present, I thought it might have been a bit young for her but she has had great fun in it. It's been great to see her playing with her (rough and tumble) 3 year old brother-a great space for imaginative play where they seem to be in their own world. The house is well made and easy to store as one side neatly fits into the other. I would agree though that the accessories are expensive and not of great quality.

This is a gorgeous little house that I fell in love with and couldn't wait to purchase for my daughter who appears to love it as much as me. I very very pleased with it after being a little unsure from reading the other reviews. The instructions were easy to follow and there were not too many components to put it together but I would not want to keep taking it down too often. I think it's something you will put up and leave up for a while. The poles are metal and sturdy but the joiners are plastic and one of them was already snapped out of the box. I stuck it somewhere I hope it won't make much difference whilst I phone customer service for a replacement. It took me the best part of an hour to set it up but was very pleased with the result. It's such a nice size. Not too big to take up too much room and not too small that it can't be played with properly. The detailing is lovely and the quality is really rather good. The fabric is good quality and it feels well made overall. It comes with the cooker which again is also very well made even though it's a mixture of hard laminate and plastic. It's an interesting innovation to make the house fit inside each other but it works and makes the house take up a lot less room than I was expecting. It only loses marks for being so expensive. I think all the products in this range are overpriced for what you get.

It's a must have buy 19 Aug 2008

Rose Petal Cottage is not just lovely to look at it is hardwearing, easy to manouvre and my 3 year old daughter and her friends play in it for hours, as do her two older brothers (5&7) although they would not admit to this! I have the accessories and disagree that they are not hardwearing - they are not cardboard but a type of plywood covered in a hard laminate and so far have been very durable - they are easy to assemble and have withstood lots of rough and tumble and a move from Germany to the UK. I intend to buy the shop and accessories for Christmas and hope I am as pleased with these products as I am with the Dream House ones.

You need a lot of room for this house which is in 2 parts and is only held together with plastic sticks. I think it a lot of money for what it is and was disappoint with it. Read more
