Well, I have every almost album released by DT so far and have to say that this is one of the weakest. All the musicians are good but they seem to be lacking that final synergy which brought everything together into one of the best prog. rock bands I know. I am also very disappointed that there was no just instrumental CD in any special edition. My problem is I do not really like La Brie, he is talented but it is just not my thing. This is why I would recommend the special edition of Black Clouds and Silver Linings. If you want something more recent which is just as good as DT used to be in my opinion and are a fan of prog. instrumentals, I would go for 'Portnoy, Sheehan, MacAlpine, Sherinian (PSMS) - Live in Tokyo'.
