Brilliant series from the 90's which was produced by the people who brought us Friends (but I suppose I can forgive them for that!).

This is a smart and sexy comedy series about a single dad and how he deals with is son, ex-wife and the string of lovely ladies he manages to meet. If this is how America was back then, then give me a time machine now cos I've been missing out!

This will probably be appreciated more by a male audience as it deals primarily with things from a male perspective but anyone with a sense of humour should like it.

I'm still waiting for the remaining seasons as these were the only ones shown on UK TV so I really want to see the rest!

Highly recommended.

The best comedy series from HBO in my opinion: funny, inventive (in its use of film clips), adult (raunchy, but not crude) and, in Brian Benben's portrayal of the hapless Martin Tupper, it's Woody Allen without the nerdishness that spoils some of the latter's films. Tupper's secretary (Toby) played by Denny Dillon with her abrasive, no-nonsense, NY down-to-earth approach is the perfect complement to the dreamy, idealism which is so much a part of Tupper's character.

So, when will we be able to sate our withdrawal symptoms and get our fix of Seasons 3 - 6? Come on HBO (or your new masters at Sky): there's a market in them there programmes and in the words of that great philosopher Englebert Humperdinck... "Please release them let them go..." The gratitude of myself and fellow 'Dreamers' will know no bounds.
