This is a cracking book! I am just sorry it was a short read; I had it finished in a night! The story line is really good and had pulled me in straight away. It could most definitley have been a much longer book and I wish so much that it was! (My only critisism is that I felt Maggie and her husband were older than thier age). It makes a refreshing change for a Maureen Lee book to be written in the modern age and just proves that she is an adjustable author! More praise for Maureen Lee...FANTASTIC!

I had not seen these "Quick Read" books before and so I was a bit surprised to see how short they actually are. The story was good but obviously being so short it was not really possible to get immersed in the story or to empathise with the characters before the story came to an end. I much prefer the normal length books and although I read everything by this author have to admit to being a little disappointed.

despite a quick read I bought a little while ago and said it would be my first and last - well this is not now true - this is my third one that I have read - the other being 'The Cave' given to me by a friend as a gift so not revewied on Amaxon which was very good. This is the first book that I| have read by Maureeb Lee and I am sure it will not be the last. A good story with many twists and turns and a good value book. I loved it and I hope you will too I would recomend it.

This is a very pleasant story which is worth reading as a short diversion. It is almost entirely predictable. Maggie, who is bored by her marriage, beds a colleague at a sales conference in Brighton. Her lover is also married and lives within driving distance of Maggie's home. You could almost make up the rest of the story for yourselves, but Maureen Lee has injected some humour and a few small surprises, so don't pass this book by. Pick it up. It'll keep you amused for an hour.

I purchased this book as a gift as it was by the recipients favourite author. The parcel was not delivered and Amazon replaced the parcel. When the original parcel arrived (problem caused by Royal Mail) I decided to keep both books and read and enjoyed the book myself. I shall be looking for more books by the same author.

Maureen Lee is a brilliant story teller. You really get taken in by her words and you can visualize yourself being there, so anything that i read belonging to her is just excellent. This book is a short novel but it still packs a fair punch so i would highly recommend it and any other that she writes.
