5.0 out of 5 stars TER-riffic, TER-riple, for a TER-rific price! 14 Oct 2011
Having seen all of these individually, i was very pleased to see them all in a boxset. Although i was initially put off by the price when first released(£20+)and even considered buying them individually second hand, i perservered with this product, hoping it would come down to a more 'reasonable' price and at last it did do! Here are my opinions on the indiviual films:
DREAD: MY second favourite in the boxset. 3 college students decide to do a study based on fear and what makes people afraid. Whats starts off as a normal study however soon takes a sinister turn when it becomes obvious that one of these students has an ulterior motive for taking part. I really liked this movie. I think it was because it doesn't follow the normal horror film path. The bad guy in it isn't an evil supernatural being or a huge masked killer with knives, machetes, etc Hes a normal guy whom you may just meet on a bus, albeit a bit nutty. Yep, worth watching *****
THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN: My favourite of the 3 movies. A photographer who goes out taking photos of city night life gets sucked into a surreal world of murder and mayhem when he encounters a serial killer who murders late night commuters on the tube train. The closer he gets to this killer, the more dangerous things get. This film had everything i'd want from a good horror. Suspense, scares, fun, blood and gore. Great stuff! *****
BOOK OF BLOOD: For me, the weakest out of the 3 films. A paranormal researcher's investigations lead her to a young man who appears to be channeling messages from the dead. As her investigation intensifies, the line between living and the dead becomes blurred until your left wondering whats real and whats not. I found this film rather confusing for this reason.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Value DVD Pack 16 Sep 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
This triple DVD pack is just great value with Midnight Meat train being the best out of the three movies. All Clive Barker stories based from the Books of Blood which were short stories written way back in the 80's by Clive Barker and they have been a success and widely popular ever since.

The weaker one of the three movies is Dread as it's a psychological fear based terror kind of movie which is ok I suppose but not as good as MMT. Book of Blood was good in a BBC production drama kind of way and was a good story too, but all in all these movies were cheaper than buying them separately and I highly recommend you get this pack.
