I've had 3 of these, but only 1 of them is working now. They are great when they work but when they go wrong you've had it.
The design of these things while great to look at, make them inservicable. The ficture broke on one of mine, and then when I changed the bulb in another, fo some reason I couldn't turn it off afterwards (it worked fine until then). On both occasions I tried to remove the base to get to the insides and have a poke about and see what had gone wrong (loose connection?) with the one that wouldn't turn off, and to change the fitting on the other.
Alas, the bottoms are bolted on with a permanent thread. Try as you might you cab't remove the base. It's a sealed unit. This means any problems with them and they're junk.
That said, when they work they are cool. They have 3 settings: dim, light, and full light. Just tap/touch the base to cycle through the various brightnesses before thr 4th touch switches it off again. They're great as bedsied lights because it means you don't have to fumble around felling for the on/off swith on the wire.
If only they were a bit better made - still for this price what do you expect? It's odd though as the unit casings are sturdy and well made. It's just the electricals that seem to let them down... but the electricals are quite important in a light aren't they.
These shoulda-woulda-coulda been a 5 star product - but, in my opinion, they don't last very well.
If you found this review helpful, please give it the thumbs up. If not, comment on why so I can do a better job for you next time. Thanks :-)
