Product Description

Beauty is more than skin-deep…

Tattoo artist Raven Smith is blunt and hard, broken and jaded, dark and beautiful. While she doesn’t hide her painful past, she does keep a wall around her heart. She’s free sexually—but no one gets to the real Raven beneath the prickly exterior.

With a voice like smoke, Jonah Warner is a smooth-talking, highly successful attorney, with a body that should never be hidden by a suit. He’s the kind of man who never takes no for an answer and always gets what he wants. And what he wants is Raven. She’s a survivor, and he finds that incredibly alluring.

Jonah gets under her skin in a way Raven has never experienced. He makes her break all her rules—including her no-monogamy rule.

But when a figure from Raven’s past shows up at the tattoo parlor and drops a bomb into her life, their relationship will face the ultimate challenge…

3.0 out of 5 stars Hot romance 3.5 stars 9 April 2014
By Deborah TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition
It's years since I've read a book by this author and although this book is a stand alone I must admit I did feel while reading that it would have been so much better if I'd read the previous books and to be honest I wanted to read the other books, I wanted the background on all the characters, I wanted their pasts and connections. So while I enjoyed this book, and I did enjoy it I loved all the characters and Raven and Johah, Raven was strong yet loving and deserved to be cherished, protected and loved so much and Johan was everything a woman could want, maybe a little bit too much so don't get me wrong I loved him I mean who wouldn't he's hot, incredibly good in bed, thoughtful, a gentleman, rich and loves her so much and I think that was the problem he was a little too perfect and he fell in love with her maybe a little too quickly, but it's a romance and he's hot so I'll let him get away with that but I agree with Laura I'm not generally a fan of insta love I like them to have to work more for it.
Anyway I digress, I enjoyed this book but I think if you've read the previous ones you'd enjoy it so much more, after I'd finished I looked up the other books but between the Brown family novels and the linked Delicious books you're looking at about 6 books which is a lot to pick up now.
I can't close this review without mentioning the price, £7.38 for 304 pages is in my opinion too much, way too much.

3.0 out of 5 stars Expected more... 8 April 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I liked Raven in The Brown Family books in fact I thought she would end up with Adrian Brown but that wasn't to be. This book has been written after another series of books by Lauren Dane that I never read (Delicious books) so quite a few of those characters are featured in this book and although this could be read as a standalone, I would say it is best to have read all the books including the Delicious series as it would appear that is when the hero of this book (Jonah Warner) featured.

The Raven in this book seems to have mellowed since I read about her in the Brown Family books in fact it was almost like reading a completely different character. Jonah wanting tattoos etc didn't really fit with his image. There is an instant attraction and it's not long before they fall into bed together where it seems Jonah likes to be the Dom and wants Raven as his Sub and she seems to have no problems with that. For me, Jonah fell in love too quick. I don't like insta-love.

I have liked this authors previous books but this one fell short. I like a bit of angst for a couple but there was none in this book other than us learning of Raven's past and her 'issues'. Jonah was a bit too perfect for me. An OK read but not one of the authors best.

5.0 out of 5 stars erotic and spicy romance 3 Oct 2013

Drawn Together A Brown Family Novel Lauren Dane.

ARC supplied by Netgalley.

I love some spice and sex in my romance so this one immediately appealed. It wasn't until about 20% through that I began to get the feeling it was part of a series...silly nugget that I am the "Brown family novel" should have clued me in, but I'm good at missing the obvious. Anyway I looked on Amazon and found this was book five in a family series, each book is stand-alone but they all feature family or friends of the brown Clan :) I love those, no awful cliffhangers but chance to keep up with characters we feel we know and love. So having skimmed the Amazon samples I got a flavour of how everyone fitted together. I could have read it without doing that as it is standalone but knowing how each character related and a bit of their history enhanced the story. I'd love to read the others in the series when I've time - and's an excellent, well written book.
Anyway - Drawn Together - features Tattoo artist Raven Smith and high flying, slick, cultured Jonah Warner. He's from a very well known family, secure in his place and loved, Raven is from a series of care and foster homes, none of the happy experiences. Raven has learned that the only person she can depend n is herself, and though she's slowly become friends with the group of people in these novels she keeps herself slightly apart when she can. That's not always easy as her friends love her and sort of steamroller her into things...and one of these is an engagement party where she meets Jonah. He wants a tattoo, a large one and Raven has been recommended for that. Chatting to her there's an immediate pull between them, the tension is palpable, you can almost feel them breathing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read, hot scenes 28 Oct 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Jonah and raven = hot couple

Jonah is a 42 year old divorced, father and a rich lawyer.

Raven is 30 something tattoo artist with bad childhood memories. She s strong, independent, sexual, and loves her friends.

Jonah gets to meet Raven, and asks for a back tattoo, so they meet and it all starts......

They can't deny there attracted to each other, so end up in bed together having hot/Hawt sex. My only problem with there initial sex scenes were that he tied her up and smacked her ass, while in the heat of passion, without discussing safe words and limits. Now don't get me wrong it's hot but they should have talked it thru first I think.

They continue there relationship, and Jonah pushes Raven to open up. I'm not talking sexually even though that stays hot. I loved how he called her gorgeous, in my head he said it with a southern accent!

I loved their relationship, they entered into a D/s relationship, which was limited to the bedroom. Their relationship out of the bedroom was fulfilling and warm. I want me a Jonah and not because he has money ;)

I should have started off by saying I haven't read any of this series before, so the are many characters I got to know as I read, whereas if you've read previous books you would know them all.

If you like a warm love story with some hot and kinky sex this is for you. Talking kinky sex the sex scenes were hot and kinky but not über kinky, some paddling, cuffs, nipple rings etc - but mainly a dominant man in the bedroom.

3.75 stars

I received this book from the publisher via netgalley for an honest review.
