I am self taught watercolorist. I have quite a collection of books and i was pleasantly surprised to find this fresh and interesting book. it isn't like all the others and has a nice section on drawing for watercoloring. I taught myself to draw out and plan the painting first. this book walks you threw the paces and shows you exactly what you need to know to accomplish it. great book

condensed drawing lessons + well, watercoloring 26 Dec 2008
By Bill R - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I intend to watercolor...,eventually. but my drawing needs a lot of work, so I figured this book would help. And it does, it's a great book on drawing and sketching, succinct, and right to the key stuff. I've seen some of it in other such books but he really condenses it all without a bunch of rhetoric & fluff. And I haven't even looked at the watercolor parts much. But I suspect similar directions.
