5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book explaining how to draw faces 5 Dec 2001
By A Customer
This is a wonderful art book giving excellent step-by-step instructions on how to draw faces. There are many styles to choose from, and the great thing is that using the Usborne web link you can print or download outlines to colour in. As an ex-art student I think that any one of any age would find this book useful!

5.0 out of 5 stars A real bargain! 20 Sep 2008
This book is for children but it would also suit any adult who's interested in learning how to draw faces. It's a 60-page book that covers quite a lot of broad areas including all the basic technical aspects of face drawing as well as how to deal with angles & lighting. There's also a range of drawing styles you can try out - everything from fine art to modern & quirky to cartoon to abstract!

Because it's primarly been designed for children, the book is written & illustrated in a way that is colourful, fun & accessible. I've got a few other drawing books (for adults) and none of them are as fun as this one or got me drawing as quickly as this did!

3.0 out of 5 stars would like more instruction 21 Sep 2012
By Vera
Format:Spiral-bound|Verified Purchase
This book is quite good, but I was looking for a simply book to show me (yes an adult!) how to draw faces and how to shade properly etc. This book does this very briefly, then goes on to explain different styles of drawing/painting colouring. There were only 2 pages relevant to what I wanted, but maybe thats all there is to know, and I am supposed to just practise? Nice books if you want different ideas, but wasn't the tutorial I was looking for.

Bought to help with KS3 portrait work. The basics are very helpful and are covered in a few pages, the rest of the book is filled with different art techniques rather than drawing skills.
