5.0 out of 5 stars beautiful 25 Sep 2010
By kemg
Format:Paperback
I first bought the orignial doodle book and then saw this advertised and decided to buy it as well. Although the first book was lovely, this Christmas book is truly beautiful. I love it and so does everyone I have shown it to. I have never felt the need to review a book on Amazon before but, trust me, you will not be wasting your money!A sperb gift for an adult or child, gender does not matter either!

5.0 out of 5 stars Drawing, Doodling and Colouring for Christmas 1 Dec 2010
By Sarah (Feeling Fictional) TOP 100 REVIEWER VINE VOICE
Format:Paperback
I may be well above the age range that this book is intended for but when I was offered a review copy of this book I jumped at the chance. There is something relaxing about letting your creative juices flow and I haven't been able to put this activity book down since it arrived on my doorstep. The book includes a fantastic range of pictures that you need to either colour in or draw / doodle on and I can guarantee there is something in there for everyone - santa, snowmen, reindeer, elves and even angels, if it makes you think of Christmas you'll find it in here somewhere.

You don't have to be an expert at drawing and the pictures will appeal to boys and girls of all ages and abilities. Everytime I flick through the pages I spot something different that makes me want to dive back in with my felt tip pens. This really would make an idea christmas present or book to buy to entertain the whole family in the run up to Christmas. I love the fact that it even has an advent calendar for you to colour in each day (yes I have already coloured in the square for December the 1st!)

This is a great quality book that will offer hours of entertainment for the whole family and I would highly recommend it for those cold snow filled afternoons in the run up to Christmas. It's a perfect way to keep the kids occupied while you're wrapping up the Christmas presents (and something you'll probably want to dip into yourself when they're tucked up in bed for the night).

I posted this review including pictures on my blog here if anyone is interested in seeing some pages from inside the book: [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Get creative 7 Dec 2010
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Ever looked at a blank sheet of paper and waited for inspiration? Well this book can help. Each page gives you an idea and a start to get creative. From snowman shapes requiring you to add carrots and coal for eyes to reindeers waiting for antlers. My five year old liked the activities but I think was a bit young to appreciate this. I am 42 and loved it. I spent hours at night when they had gone to bed, colouring and designing. I would recommend this for kids from 7 up. Any younger and they lack the skills and concentration for this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh, I Wish it Could be Christmas Every Day! 18 Dec 2013
By Hermes Love TOP 100 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I sent for a couple of copies of this rather impressive book the other day, when the realisation began to dawn upon me that I was going to shortly be spending my second day this month babysitting my two little relatives (aged 8 and 5) while their parents hit the shops. Or, at least, I assume that was where they went. They could well have hit the pub though, for all I know. I certainly felt like spending a couple of hours in the boozer myself after I'd given them their kids back at the end of our first afternoon together. They ran me ragged, honestly. They wouldn't stop talking, they didn't stop moving and, for reasons that I suspect were down to some abject mischief on the part of their parents, they seemed to think I might be an appropriate person to ask about all matters appertaining to the horribly intimidating twin topics of The Birds and The Bees. Me. Me?! I probably know less about those subjects than they do... and I was married for twelve and a half years!

Clearly, our second festive appointment needed something to occupy them properly in a calm and structured way. Which was where divine inspiration appeared to take a momentary shine to me by guiding me towards this product. The girls fell in love with the concept and design of it immediately. It is an exciting piece of kit, beautifully put together (in all but one aspect... more on that in a moment) and packed full of festive artistic inspiration. From coming up with crazy colour schemes for an entire page's worth of socks to trying to create the sort of Yuletide jumpers that Gyles Brandreth at his most outrageous would have cheerfully taken off your hands, this book helps to build the Christmas excitement in a really lovely way.

Format:Paperback
I've just been looking for more Christmas activity books for this year as its going to be a lonely xmas for me :(. I saw this item which I bought last Christmas and simply HAD to review it!! As I say, I bought this exact book for last Christmas, and it is worth EVERY penny!! It is an incredible book for ALL ages (I am 27!) I used this book every day during the christmas period last year and I still have half of it to complete! Lots to do - lovely thick black pictures to colour in and on quality paper. You will not be dissapointed

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent colouring book 14 Dec 2010

I ordered both the colouring book and the christmas edition for my grandchildren. They are packed with projects and ideas to keep them occupied for many hours. They were so engrossed that their parents had difficulty in getting them to bed. brilliant.
