Book Description

"Might there have been even more teams ready to hijack aircraft on 9-11? Bennett Shelfer dares to say 'yes' with DRAWING DEAD, his surprising, thrilling, no-punches-pulled debut that will keep you pinned to the couch. Don't miss it!” — Carl Ellsworth, Screenwriter, RED EYE, RED DAWN (2012)

FBI Special Agent Jason Lancer is obsessed with horoscopes and tarot cards after losing his mother in a plane crash. She had ignored the warnings of the stars and the cards. Lancer is pursuing terrorist hijackers and is ordered to take a plane to St. Louis but faces the same warnings that spelled doom for his mother. He resigns and moves to Las Vegas. A sexy poker professional persuades him to ignore the stars and the cards and teaches him to read people. Lancer confronts his obsessions and the terrorists at Hoover Dam using his newly acquired skills.

5.0 out of 5 stars N.Y. Best seller 24 May 2012
I bought this book on the suggestion of a friend and once I started it I just could not put it down. It brought back so many memories of what took place with the terrorist attacks on the U.S.A. I started reading it on a Monday morning and finished it in the early hours of Tuesday. I just wanted the book to go on and on and never end. I got to feel part of the story myself. I have since bought 5 or 6 further copies for friends and have contacted the author to try and get another of his books. I also look forward hopefully to a film coming out of this story. It is a must read and I suggest everyone to buy it. I have already read it twice. A great read and well done.

5.0 out of 5 stars 100% a Page-Turning Suspense 5 July 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I was introduced to the book of author Bennett Shelfer by a mere coincidence through an "old" friend but have quickly read the book. It is easy to read and Shelfer deals masterfully with the mysterious features of counter intelligence, religion, poker tricks and occult. They all together bring to light amazing bits of information, which makes it a compelling read. Story is a 100% a page-turning suspense. I believe you will enjoy Shelfer's work and benefit from his experience about planes, tarot cards, poker games and reading people.

Got hooked in the first chapter and couldn't put it down...Husband loved it too, and he's read ALL the suspense/military greats.
I'm hoping for a sequel...and for the author to publish his memoirs, as he seems to have an incredibly interesting story himself!

Definitely worth reading! Brought me to the heights of anxiety, pity, anger and a new understanding of how to "tell" people! Bennett's shown us various levels of his understanding of the mystery and horror surrounding 9/11.
Thanks for a great read!
