First of all I must say that I am enormously surprised by the very speedy delivery taking the weather situation into consideration (21st of January was during the snowy period with many closed roads). Absolutely perfect!

The tools are exactly what I expected and seem to be of a good sturdy make. As I only received them today I have obviously not given them much use yet, but I would be surprised if they shall not do the job, and also last for a very long time.

The three sizes are great for different jobs, the smallest one being rather tiny, which I think is great for doing tiny jobs, whereas the medium and large ones are probably the ones that I will be using most of the time. Still it is neat to have the tiny one for whenever it comes in handy, and at the price it is a real bargain.

They all have a good tight grip on whatever you clamp them onto - even the tiny one - so all in all a very good set of self-grip pliers that I am very satisfied with so far.

These are the second set I have bought, having found the first set good and needing more. They are quite inexpensive but are by no means perfect, although they do offer good value for money. Firstly, they grip well and used as clamps they are pretty much perfect. Where they are less good is if you want to use them to unlock a rusted on nut as they will twist if used 90 degrees to the job and are no substitute for a good spanner. I use them for clamping steel prior to welding and for this they serve you well, although they get fairly mucky; a wire brush and a file soon cleans them up. They are easy and convenient to use one-handed, so better than cramps that require you to tighten up a screwthread. Adjustment is easy and this can be done one-handed, also, so - all in all, a good buy.

My 30 + year old Mole grips have given up the ghost. I saw these as a set and went for them.

Construction.
-----------------
This seems fine for the money and for light use. The main part is heavy duty pressed steel and the rivets are large and well seated. The winding screw s work smoothly and the jaws are strong and grip well.

Use.
------
These are fine for occasional workshop use but I would recommend spending more if you use them on a daily basis in a workshop or the like. However, for the home mechanic they are fine and should last well.

Overall.
----------
A nice useful set for occasional home use.

I used to think Draper was a good make, but now I find I oscillate between great products and mediocre ones. These are the latter, as the smaller grip is not quite aligned and too flimsy to be much good for anything. The larger ones are OK.

Perfectly adequate mole grips that do the job. "Heavy-duty" users might want to go for something a bit more robust, but these are fine for routine DIY jobs.
