This is a good, sturdy and reasonably cheap spade. There's not much you can say about it - it will dig holes, and fill 'em without a problem :)

Mind you, when the zombie apocalypse hits I'm sure it will also double up as a weapon in a hitch, and allows you to also get rid of the newly deceased deceased, to ensure that the neighbourhood remains pestilence free!

In the meantime, it will sit being useful as a basic allotment tool.

I'm the kind of guy that calls a spade a spade. And this is a spade. A decent one at that.

Purchased two of these and both bent after not much work. One has snapped at the weld near the top of the blade and the other will go shortly. I used these for pit planting trees on land that has a fair amount of stones (terminal moraine) and they are not up to this. Would suggest that unless you have well-dug borders, save your cash and buy a better made product

Spade lasted about 35 minutes before snapping in half. I wouldn't say it was particularly heavy work, just removing a rhubarb. Amazon were excellent about the returns though so top marks for them but all in all a totally useless spade unless you're clearing snow or something

Excellent product doing the job that is intended for it. Really good value for the money and quick delivery. Would recommend both the company and the product

After 8 years service the wooden shaft of my spade broke, so I ordered this one thinking the plastic would fare better.

No issues with the plastic but after only an hour in the garden, re-edging the lawn and some fairly light digging, the metal is splitting.

This one is going back, as are the matching fork and hand tools which are similar in quality.

Surprized by the weight of this in fact it was a little to heavy on the digging end but its good as it buries into the earth that you are digging into easily.

I borught this Spade for my elderly mother, as she asked me where she could obtain one at the right price. This piece was for the gentleman who tends her garden for her, purely out of kindness. Well, according to mum, he said it is great, nice and strong and sturdy.
So, Mum is happy, her gardener is happy, and i'm happy that they are happy.

Thanks to all concerned with this consignment.

    Regards.
    Al.
