I've got a very small flat - space is at a premium - so this little vac is just what I've been looking for!!
It's very cute, and solidly built - to me it looks like a type of submarine that might have turned up in Captain Scarlett. Although it's of solid construction, it's not too heavy to carry around comfortably.
It comes with a hose fitting, with two different sized brushes to put on the end of it. When using on tiles or lino, you can use the cleaner without the hose, and it'll suck the stuff up directly. Also included is a shoulder strap, which is convenient to have, and lightens the load even further. The plug cable is long, which is good.
When cleaning on carpets, the vacuum works very hard and runs quite hot, although I think it's designed this way. I wouldn't want to use it for an extended period of time though, even so. The brushes are both quite small, too - so it takes a lot of strokes to get the work done. The attachments come off too easily, and the motor runs too hot.
The one problem I have with this machine is that the hose isn't long enough - you have to crouch and squat for it to reach the floor, which is uncomfortable. If the hose was inflexible and long, there wouldn't be this problem. Obviously for using on stairs etc, it's fine. Bear this in mind if you suffer from aches and pains.
Other than that, this is the ideal size for a small space - bigger than a dustbuster/black and decker battery-powered thing, but smaller than the normal ones that take up a surprising amount of room. It isn't suited to doing extended periods of housework.
