12 mm diameter perforated sprinkler hose designed to be laid permanently in garden borders to irrigate plants as required. Hose lays on or under the garden soil and water seeps through holes to irrigate the surrounding area. Supplied with two way coupling and two 1/2-inch hose connectors, one with water stop. Shrink wrapped with label.

This kit works really well. I have connected it to a timer and also added some normal hose onto the run so that I can have it it my green house, and then also run it into my raised veg beds all from the same kit. I just bought some extra connectors and used some old hose from the garden to customise it for what I wanted. I would really recommend this system over the narrower tube kits (which I have never been able to get to work).

I like it. Only cost a fiver when I bought it so great value.
Just remember a couple of things.
It comes with an attachment that stops the water flow, so bung this on one end or all the water flows out the end, not through the perforation holes.
Attach to your tap, but use a normal hosepipe here then join it to the perforated hose (joiner supplied), or you end up watering your wall, pathway, whatever until you get to the garden.
Turn tap on full. The pressure is needed to force the water through the perforations.
Thats it. Once set up its a doddle. Just need to move it around a bit when the water is coming out to get it all going in the right direction.

I had already purchased one of these from a Garden centre but wanted another as an extension to it.
The connectors weren't very good on this one with the result that water did leak between it and the old hose and it had been so tightly coiled when packed that despite a great deal of effort I was unable to get the hose to straighten out properly with the result that a lot of water didn't actually go on any of the plants and I ended up having to secure it with bricks and pegs!
I will persevere with it though in the hopes that as it wears it will start to straighten out.

GOOD HOSE
REALLY GOOD ITEM. I HAD 2 BUY EXTRA CONNECTORS 2 CONNECT UP MORE THAN 1 HOSE. THEY DO SUPPLY THEM BUT AFTER SOAKING HOSE END IN BOILING WATER I STILL COULD NOT GET THEM 2 FIT. Read more
