5.0 out of 5 stars Good budget knife 17 Mar 2012

This pruning knife is a typical draper product, good quality at a sensible price. It is very sharp and easy the handle. The lanyard is a plus but I always carry the knife in my pocket. Again, for the price, highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really good little knife 11 July 2012
    Verified Purchase
I got this for my Dad with some other gardening bits for him to use on his allotment, and he has been very pleased with it. The blade is very sharp and locks into place securely, so is ideal for its purpose. The cord attached to the knife is a real plus-point as it means that it can be worn around your neck or wound around your wrist so it doesn't get put down on the ground and lost (a frequent problem for my Dad!!). For the price the knife is brilliant, but I have often found this with Draper products; you don't have the buy the most expensive tools you can find to get the quality you need.

4.0 out of 5 stars A quality item, cuts cleanly 7 Nov 2012
    By Colin
    Verified Purchase
The flat shape means it does not feel bulky in the pocket, yet it is still comfortable to hold in the hand and cuts cleanly. Locks open, take just a little care when closing it to keep fingers out of the way; thankfully it does not snap shut. I do not think it has any parts that can rust, as it is stainless steel.
It really does slice through things, without seeming dangerously sharp when touched.
Some may prefer a comfortable wooden handle, but the blade is very good on this.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT GARDEN KNIFE 20 July 2012
    Verified Purchase
A real plus for use in the garden, slimline to fit in any pocket with ease, with an easy opening and locking mechanism I can heartily recommend this. In fact I've bought another one for my Dad as his fingers don't work as well as they did and this is so easy to use. Sharp blade which of course you could sharpen further if you wished but easily sharp enough to use when taking cuttings etc. I took the lanyard off mine as it was getting in the way but I can see how it would help keep it handy for some folk. Like most Draper products I've bought this is functional, well made and certainly worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very sharp and very safe to use 29 May 2013
    By Gilbert
    Verified Purchase
As delivered, the knife was very sharp. The blade holds its edge well and is easy to sharpen with a small stone or carbide sharpener. Because of the blade shape, I don't recommend a flat stone.

The blade locks in the open position and to close it, you need to press a small button. All very safe and solid feeling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Draper Pruning Knife 14 Oct 2012
    By Pauline
    Verified Purchase
I needed a pruning knife for my shrubs but had not used one before so I was a bit wary. This one was good and sharp and did a really nice job. Also I had no need to worry as I found it easy to use - much to my husband's relief - otherwise he'd have ended up doing the job, LOL.

    3.0 out of 5 stars Its a knife 12 Jun 2013
    Verified Purchase
Delivery was satisfactory. And now for the knife. The knife does what it supposed too but omg its so damn plain (if a knife can be ugly then this is). Also the slimline shape makes holding it uncomfortable, also the locking mechanism packed up after a couple of weeks. So would I recommend it - yes if you want a functional knife; no if you want something more such as a comfortable handle. As for the strap thingy - ummm whats the point?
