I purchased two Tack Lifters so that two people could work at the same time to remove a large number of tacks from some flooring. Initially the lifters were great and the tacks were lifted and removed quite rapidly, but after a relatively short time both lifters broke - and the break was in exactly the same place.
Amazon offered an immediate refund, but I now have to look for an alternative way of finishing my job.

Strangely, not sold at B&Q etc. Great for removing staples and tacks etc. I have had another for years which has taken lots of abuse.
Bought this tool for taking out the industrial staples that hold down plywood floorboards. This involves digging the end of the tack lifter into the floor, giving it smack with a hammer a few times then levering it up. Repeat hundreds of times. Yet this little tool is showing no damage despite my lack of care when my old tack lifter fell to bits after just a few dozen staples.
Also great for levering nails out when a claw hammer couldn't be used, for example a nail with a smallish head near the corner of a right angle.
Cheap but good qulity. Easily earned it money back already.

Suited for light usage only

A brilliant tool
This tack lifter is a very handy tool and is easy to use removing stubborn nails and tacks. It is well made of quality materials and with careful handling should last a lifetime.
