Draper Shredder,

I bought the Draper Shredder to replace two very disappointing Bosch Shredders. Its cutting and shredding action is relatively quiet and powerful, but sometimes I have to make two passes to have material shredded sufficiently for my composters. Although good for woody branches, it is not very effective for leaves and soft plant material, but these break down more easily anyway. It is a heavy machine to handle if any lifting is required. So far it seems to be self-cleaning using the reverse direction switch.

Excellent product. Assembly was straight forward. I started using it with a two hour session. I almost filled a dumpy bag with the chipping. It is a little heavy to move, but this is a small price to pay for a robust machine

Excellent machine for chipping prunings - Just need to remember that any soft material, ie new green stems and soft leaves will clog the machine. Best to chop soft material with hardwood stems/branches. It's a little unwieldy when moving it into position, but it will easily store in a car boot. As usual a great delivery service from Amazon and simple to set up.
