My brother got a soldering kit for his Birthday but had no mat for it, this does the trick nicely, flimsy and light makes it good to use everywhere and easy to move... its not that big but unless your going to solder a car together its a good size and being flimsy also has a few drawbacks sometimes but not if you know what you doing. Quick arrival time and overall great service.
Whilst the soldering mat was good to start it hasn't taken long to burn a hole in the centre of the mat and will shortly require replacement.
Looks like it had been chewed so condition not new. I didn't bother to contact seller as it was cheap enough for me not to care. It's ok you still need something else under it. The weave is a bit wide but it still manages to catch any solder. I use it on a work bench but I have stapled it to some MDF.
