My 9 year old and 10 year old daughter read this book one after another and loved it so much I thought I'd give it a go. I have to admit I was hooked! This has everything children want in a story - a heroine unjustly constrained by adult rules, but who sneaks around behind their backs and manages to have adventures anyway! It was definitely exciting (but not too frightening)and the ending makes you want to know what happens next. I can see this series becoming a favourite in our household and my kids are already looking forward to the next book!

I just got this book but I read it already - its THAT good! I couldnt put it down!!! I really enjoyed the story - it was really exciting and really emotional and moving - I cried loads at the ending!! Its all about a girl called Cara who works at a riding school which is for dragons instead of horses! Shes got this favourite dragon called Skydancer but her dad won't let her ride him cause he thinks its too dangerous. The bond between them is really powerful, but she has to watch all these spoilt rich kids ride him and mistreat him instead!!
Im going to recommend this book to all my friends, I really enjoyed it. I Think its perfect for my age group (1m 10).

i read this book cover to cover and it was brilliant! it is about a girl called cara who looks after dragons at the dragonsdale riding school. she has a favourite dragon called skydancer that no-one can ride, and her father wont let her ride him either. there is a horrible girl called hortense who tries to take skydancer away, and cara has lots of adventures trying to get him back. this book was exciting and easy to read, and the story kept me hooked. i would give it five stars and would recommend it to other people my age (10).
